About
Welcome to EBD (Evidence-based Dentistry) with me. I am Anirudha Agnihotry (you can call me Anir). A dentist in one country (India), and a student dentist in another one (US) until June 2018. My tryst with dentistry and my patients led me into evidence based practice, giving me opportunity to work with world experts in finding answers to my curiosities.
Over the years, I have tried learning more on how to evaluate the credibility of our sources of information. In this age of information revolution, there is too much going on and there is too much information available which might become misleading.
This blog is targeted towards clinicians, patients and students alike to give information based on high quality research evidence in simple words. This is an attempt to give a more balanced and simple outlook on the latest developments in dentistry without any “eminence-based dentistry” or “social media-based dentistry” but with “evidence based dentistry”.
All the references to each statement will be provided, and it is a process for collective learning. I request you to not get personal in defending your opinions when you comment, but rather get more analytical and correct me if I am wrong with good, high-quality research. It is going to be a crowd-sourcing effort, where we all learn from each other.
